It's Easy As Do Re Mi!

Students in our grade 1/2/3 multiage classes are learning about melodic patterns consisting of Do, Re and Mi (the bottom three notes of the major scale)! By the end of our unit, students will be able to:

• Recognize ascending and descending melodic patterns
• Label patterns of Do, Re and Mi
• Read and sing DRM patterns
• Read and play DRM patterns on the barred instruments
• Notate DRM patterns when heard aurally
• Compose and perform an original composition using Do, Re and Mi on the music staff.
